Working.... At Work..

Long day doing inspections...loads and loads of inspections. Tiring but it was cool. We climbed up 17 floors of a building just to catch a working platform of a crane under the scorching sun (actually just 6, cos we took an Alimak lift up 11 floors), inspected 5 cranes in 2 locations, had a quick mcD lunch at NUS, somewhere beside the site we were inspecting and I got my ice coffee at the food court beside it and finished on time to go home.

One of our colleagues that joined the inspection told us she was head of the department. Think there are lots of congratulations (or knives, mostly knives I guess) coming towards her. Wahahaha.

Battle City!

Used to love this game when I was small... would spend like $2 worth of 20c coins just to play this for hours at a shopping complex arcade my dad used to drop me at...

It's free now, just press space bar... and shoot with the space bar as well...

But lost touch le.. high score only 5500.. dem..

Ramayana.... (Ballet)

Prabu Janaka, the king of Mantili Kingdom has got a very beautiful princess named Dewi Shinta. A competition was conducted to decide who will be the right person to marry Dewi Shinta. The prince of Ayodya Kingdom, R. Rama Wijaya, at last wins the competition.
Prabu Rahwana, the ruler of Alengkadiraja Kingdom is eager to marry Dewi Widowati. After knowing Shinta, he assumes Dewi Shinta is the incarnation of Dewi Widowati whom he has wanted for a long long time.

Dandaka Forest

Rama, along with Shinta and his brother Leksmana, is adventuring until they arrive in Dandaka Forest. Meeting Shinta before, Rahwana is eager to possess her. In order to realise his plot, Rahwana orders his follower Marina to change into a golden deer. Being interested in the beauty of the deer, Shinta asks Rama to capture the deer for her. Rama leaves Shinta to hunt the deer.
After a while, Shina becomes anxious and asks Leksmana to look for Rama.

Before leaving, Leksmana draws a magic circle on the ground to protect Shinta. Rahwana tries to kidnap Shinta, but does not manage to, due to the magic circle. Rahwana transforms himself into an old beggar, and convinces Shinta to leave the circle. He takes her and flys to Alengka Kingdom.

Running after the Deer

Rama shoots the deer with his magic arrow, but the deer transforms back into its giant form, Marica. A battle breaks between Rama and Marica. Rama shoots Marica with his bow, killing him on the spot. Leksmana arrives and requests Rama to return to where he left Shinta.

The kidnap of Shinta

On his way to Alengka, Rahwana meets a bird named Jatayu. After realising Shinta is kidnapped, Jatayu attacks Rahwana to free her from her captor but is defeated by Rahwana.
Rama and Leksmana realise that Shinta is no longer in the forests and sets out to look for her. They meet the injured Jatayu and Rama tries to kill Jatayu, thinking that it kidnapped Shinta. Leksmana stops Rama, and gets Jatayu to tell them what has happened. Jatayu explains the situation and later dies.

A white monkey Hamuman arrives and tells Rama that he has been delegated by his uncle, Sugriwa to look for heroes who can kill Subali, who has taken Dewi Tara, Sugriwa's beloved woman, by force. Rama decides to help Sugriwa.

Kiskendo Cave

Sugriwa brings Rama and Leksmana to the cave, and a fierce battle between Sugriwa and Subali commences. Subali is defeated by Sugriwa with the help of Rama and Leksmana, and Dewi Tara is saved. Sugriwa decides to assist Rama in his quest, and sends Hanuman as a spy to Alengka Kingdom.

Argasoka Garden

Trijata, Rahwana's niece, comforts Shinta in the garden. Rahwana arrives and asks Shinta to be his wife. Shinta refuses. Rahwana is furious and tries to kill Shinta, but is stopped by Trijata. Hanuman appears in the garden and tells Shinta that Rama is on his way to save her. Rahwana's son, Indrajid, captures Hanuman. Hanuman was to be killed, but Kumbakarna, Rahwana's brother prevents it and is sentenced to exile. Hanuman is sentenced to be burnt alive. With fire surrounding his body, Hanuman was not killed, but instead used the fire to burn down Alengka Palace.

Rama's Bridge

Rama and his ape troops makes a bridge to Alengka Palace. When the bridge is completed, Hanuman returns and reports on the situation at Alengka. Rama is pleased, and orders Hanuman, Hanggada, Hanila and Jembawan to lead troops to attack Alengka.

The Total War

An all out war ensues between the giants of Alengka and the ape troops. Indrajid was killed by Leksmana. Kumbakarna, after a huge battle, is defeated. Rahwana takes control of the troops of Alengka and faces Rama in battle. Rama kills Rahwana with his bow. And to be certain that Rahwana stays dead, Hanuman drops Mount Sumawana on Rahwana.

Rama and Shinta reunites!

After the death of Rahwana, Shinta is reunited with Rama. Rama refused to accept Shinta, as he considers her impure. Shinta is depressed, and burns herself with fire to prove her innocence. With the help of the God of Fire, Shinta survives the fire.

Rama, having seen proof of her innocence, finally accepts Shinta back to his embrace.

Strive...

Past few weeks have been quite trying... a lot of things have happened and I have been quite stormed with events and happenings.

Firstly, I got to attend classes on mondays, wednesdays and saturdays. It's draining to go for a refresher course on what you have learned 13 years ago and try to recollect what you have to already know. Most of the time, I just stare blankly at the screen wondering what the differential equation on the board meant.

The moment I get to work, I have to serve multiple bosses. I now have 2 deputy directors and a division director to report to. The former, my boss, trusts me in getting the job done, but is sadly very biased. The second one, not my boss, trusts me even more to do the job but is not my boss to start with. And !!! he just added me on comm. If it's not enough to have 2 bosses, I have a my division director, which got me to run a couple of committees he chairs. Difficult part is understanding what he wants.

Most of the time, I get to work, have my breakfast, then start feeling a bit lost. Used to have like 3 tea breaks a day, but recently it's been difficult to even squeeze one out. And I used to have problems sleeping. Now, I just get back, bath, hit the bed and I'm gone.

Add that with whatever's left of my personal life, friends, family, and others, and I think I am feeling the toll.

But no worries, I am not the type that would give up easily. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? So, do be patient with me and I hope I can be a better friend, family and everything else that I am to you.

Ah Pang...

Saw Adrian Pang and filming crew filming some period drama... heh.. looks serious..

Back to school!!

Free course paid by company... cost like $1900? Haha... but when I finish this and get my professional engineering cert, it will definitely open up more horizons and I'll have more choices where I wanna go.... hmm.. think think..

Eerie Encounter...

Do you believe in the supernatural? Ever seen demons (minus ur colleagues) lurking around in the night?

We were drinking at a pub till late night, when we saw a white figure at a distance away from where we were drinking.

It started off as a blurred image, and slowly manifested itself as a sitting apparation.

The sitting apparation started moving itself and soon we saw it in an upright position floating endlessly on the spot which we were observing. A while later, the apparation dissapeared into the night, bring an eerie sensation to all those observing it.

I managed to take some photos of what might be a real *****. It's not something we should mention, especially at night.

On another note, I guess it might've been too much bacardi and an aunty in white. Think I saw the same aunty walking past the car when I was driving back home. (No la, not move faster than car la, saw at traffic lights)

Orc Kingdom

I realise that everytime I wanna complain about something, I will use the forest, animals or something fantastical to describe things and people... this time.. no difference..

Early in the morning, and the orc king was having breakfast with his favourite minion. While they were gnashing down the deer they had caught, they caught some adventurers walking past the area. The minion called out to the adventurers and asked them over. The adventurers consist of a tall, dark and handsome knight, a detail gorging female mage and a legal cleric.
Seeing that the orc king meant no harm, the adventurers approached and asked them what was going on. The orc king explained that there was a gathering, to prepare for the oncoming war. It seems that rivalling tribes of orcs were doing a lot better than the orcs in this kingdom.

The king tried to explain that the downfall of his kingdom and the lack of strength of his troops had nothing to do with him, as there was a congregation of other orc kings, and the verdict of his troops would depend on which king had more power. The king also explained that orcs were graded as slaves orcs, warrior orcs, mage orcs or king orcs the moment they were brought in to the camp and that any changes to this grading should be done but is not, until 2 to 3 years later when the camp decides that the orc should be reassessed.

But of course, orcs could rise in level, based on their achievements. If a warrior orc killed 50 humans, and he did it when the orc kings were around, he had a high chance of being a orc knight. But if the orc warrior killed 10,000 humans, in the dark cave, then he might not get anything, or might just be condemned or sidelined, as the orc warrior's efforts would not have been seen.

Also, a slave orc who worked harder than a warrior orc, may be rewarded better than a warrior orc. If a warrior orc were to get 1 fish, and a slave were to get 5, it only meant that the slave orc was better in dealing with its work than the warrior orc was. If you got 1 fish, you know where u stand!

The handsome knight, being appalled, decided to ask the orc king. "Dear King, if u were an adventurer like me, knowing how many fishes i have and how many fishes i could have caught, would u stay in this forest, or would u go to another kingdom?" The King replied.."Why don't u do whatever u can in my kingdom for 5 yrs, get some abilities and then go elsewhere and run your own kingdom?" The knight laughed and got the hint from the king. The knight still doesn't understand why the orc king still does not let the knight go over to the uruk-hai camp, since the knight is not valued in the orc kingdom.

That being said, the knight has changed his opinion, and reckon that the uruk hai camp is no longer habitable. Perhaps, its a twist of fate that might spur the knight to finally go join the templars instead.
