Got my PE application done...
Went to site to meet a 3rd party specialist to review some accident...
Coded an inspection...
Interviewed and almost strangled a PE...
Started on a report...

Somehow, it just feels that today is not really productive..

Round 2... back to books again...

Point to Ponder

Today I learnt that everything changes with time. We always feel that certain things would never change and that everything would be as it is, especially with certain things or people that we are confident in. But in reality, no matter how much you feel or hope or wish for something, nothing is or will ever the same. People change, things change, even memories defer from what it actually felt like.

I also learnt that everyone is being judged every second of the day. Our friends judge us, our family judge us, our peers judge us, not to mention our bosses and everyday people we meet. And we in turn judge people for what we feel they are like and what we think they should be. And people like to expend advise on how we should live our lives, on how we should be judging ourselves and how we should judge others. No one lives the day thinking that we should just treat everyone in kind and hope that kindness would come back to us any more.

Perhaps maturity is about learning the harsh realities of life. Perhaps giving up on being happy is the only way a person can be happy. Or perhaps happiness is a state of mind, and really does not exist.

Just caught this last night... it went from crusaders, to witch, to exorcist...the scenes and effects weren't bad at all... but the plot... sucks.. haha

That time of the year

Just had my annual haircut...look like small kid again.. have to wait one year to grow back... sob sob...

Trying.. trying and trying..

Sometimes feel that I'm trying too hard to make life easier for everyone, that I end up making life difficult for myself. Perhaps its good to let loose sometimes and let people settle their own problems.

Think I should start to sit back for a while and deal with my own work before helping others settle theirs :)

Bird Safe...

Colleague saw a strange bird being injured and decided to call AVA to save it. The bird was gone the second time they got there... so lets just pray that AVA got to it before some cat did.

Late night...

Spent almost 3 hrs on site trying to get them to recover the crane, but still ended up waiting till the next day for it to be done. All we ended up with working till 9m was gastric and being drenched from head to toe.

NBA!!! New Basketball Associates!!

Haha... another round of basketball... and more guys joining in the game this time! It's just great workout and wonderful to have a whole team playing together. :) We did cause some soccer players to change their schedule, but that's beyond the point.
I think I really need more exercise, heart palpitations, still panting hours after the game... and muscles aching like I just ran a marathon. It's a miracle I haven't had a heart attack after not moving for so many years!! Think I am going to be decommissioned for another week. Hopefully the next game will be better. :P

Flu and insomnia dun go well together. Add stress and work, and you have one sick fella. Hmm, wonder if I should still go basketball today.. haha..

So so so so long since I touched a basketball!!! The guys and girl from the cubicle next door organised a basketball 3 on 3 and got 2 of us to join in. Man, can really feel that age is catching up. First, I get scolded for using a plastic bag to put my clothes, say I am like ah pek. Second, after the 1st match, I totally went out.. was sooo tired! The 100 plus really saved me. If not, we would not have had 4? matches? in about like 2+ almost 3 hrs? We started about 6+? and ended like at 9, so that's a record for someone who never touch the basketball for years. I sucked so bad, it was a miracle they let me play though.. haha. :) nice nice..

Holidays at the Office

Used to love the holiday season when I was at my ex company. It was like the only time we would go to work, and there would be not much people around, and we could finish up our stuff and have enough time for a break. Now, it's feels draggy and boring staying in the office during the festive season. Well, the gifts are nice, and there is good company, but somehow or rather, it just feels long. I guess when u spend too much time with company, and all of a sudden, people are not there, it just gets really quiet and slow. Maybe when things get hectic again, I'd be complaining that things are too fast and there is no room to breath. There's really no pleasing some people huh. Hee.

After drinking like 5-6 cups of it... I'm officially sick of latte...
