Gashapon!!

Yep, that's what those capsule things are called. Popped by Vivo's Toys R Us today and got one of those capsules. I already had Happy, Plu and Erza from the previous visit, and didn't have high hopes for getting anything else, but somehow, got lucky and managed to get a Natsu.

Erza kept falling over no matter how I straighten her on the dashboard. Hopefully, with Natsu's hand propping the side of her hair now, she wont fall over that often. If I complete the set, I probably wont be able to see the speedometer, but what the heck.

And yes, Plu is supposed to be sleeping. Don't ask me why.

Happy!!

Saw one in Chinatown, but didn't get it. Next time go HQ must go grab one!!

Haha.. Happy lei..Wonder if they have a Carla...

Aunty call 999 to sabo mata..

Woman nabbed for hoax 999 calls

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 53-year-old woman for making hoax calls to the '999' police emergency hotline.

Several calls were made between April and June this year to the hotline requesting for emergency assistance.

Emergency responders from the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were dispatched to the locations.

However, the calls were subsequently found to be hoaxes.

Officers from Clementi Police Division studied the call patterns and conducted extensive ground enquiries.

The identity of the suspect was eventually established, and she was arrested in Clementi Avenue 5 at about 3pm on Wednesday.

The suspect will be charged on Friday in court.

If convicted, she can be jailed up to three years and fined.

More more!!

Dread...

Weekend over again... don't know why, but somehow just dread going to work again. I guess everyone has that sometimes, but I get it more frequent than not nowadays. Do you feel the same too? Like where you're working isn't really worth staying? I guess that explains the attrition rates, and with so many crap people around, it's a miracle that I'm still staying put. Perhaps it's the hope that something good will happen, or maybe age is catching up, and I can't find the energy to bother.
Well, my staff asked me if I was leaving soon, like he heard or knew something imminent. Perhaps it's a good omen. Hope there really is a miracle, and I get the break I need to ship away.

Mirror and the Scale...

Of Mirrors...
Sometimes, when things look bad on one side, and absolutely perfect on the other, things might not be as it seems. Sometimes, things just look that way. But if you spend the time to live it, then sometimes, just sometimes, things turn out quite the opposite of what you expect...
And when you do deal with others, reflect on what you do. What I think is, no matter whether its a peer, or its someone that's put under you, your job is really to make life easier for everyone else. Well, it's a tiring job, and it takes out almost every ounce of energy from you, but occasionally, things come back positively in a way you'd never expect...

Of the Balancing Scale...
There are always demons and angels. Wherever I go, I tend to meet a few Satans, that go out of their way to make life unbearable. Somehow, they always appear the strongest, and most affecting. But then again, there's always some Angels that appear out of nowhere, there are always people supporting me no matter where I go, and people believing in me. If you count those Angels, they always somehow exceed the quantity of those who are Satans. But of course, us being humans, we tend to be affected more by the bad things, much much more than the good. There is a lesson to be learnt in being appreciative of what you have, rather than concentrating on those that are not worth the effort or time.
And things will balance out somehow? That's really something that I have yet to see. The world is full of selfish and self-centered people, who'd do anything to gain an advantage for themselves, at the expense of everyone else. I guess it's just society, a society that breeds greed and dishonesty. And through all that I've encountered, there's really only a handful of people that deserve my respect and attention. Those the people I plan to concentrate on, to do my best for them, and make sure they have my full support throughout their lives.

Three Corporate Lessons...

Sure everyone have read this somewhere b4... but what the heck...

Lesson Number One:

A crow was sitting in a tree, doing nothing all day.
A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and
do nothing all day long?"
The crow answered: "Sure why not?" So, the rabbit sat on the ground below
the crow, and rested.
All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story is:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson Number Two:

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the
top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."
"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull.
"They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him
enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fortnight, there he was proudly perched at the top of the
tree.
Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the
tree.

Moral of the story is:
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Lesson Number Three:

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold, the bird
froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there a
cow came by and dropped some dung on the bird.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize
how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following
the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and
promptly dug him out and ate him!

The Morals of this story are:

1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut.

Waiting for....

and anything else Shin Megami Tensei and Persona can dish out. Yep I am a sucker for Atlus and NIS games.

Old cartoons...

Dig the castle... even had a name.. Greyskull

While my cousin in Australia was watching Megatron pummel Optimus, I was in KL watching Lion-O pillow right with Mumra

And of course there was Transformers... where Megatron twisted his body, kicked Optimus and turned into a Gun held by Starscream... if I got the sequence correct.. and the Movie.. Till now I still dun get the story, about Unicron eating planets and Optimus dying??...I think..

And M.A.S.K (Rhino!!! My Bulldog is still in the cupboard!)

and Starcom (magnets and motorised push buttons) Psst! They still sell them, but each one costs a bomb now..

And of course, the most sinister of all villans...

Muahahahahhaa... this time I will get them Azrael...muahhahahaa

Designation...

Used to be a called a "Senior Specialist"... like I am some cooped up, 50 year old guy with white hair that wears a lab coat and has experimented on hundreds of alien lifeforms...

Now I am a "Group Head"... like I am bunch of heads grouped together to form a new entity...

Lifeless...

So demotivated and demoralised nowadays that I actually overpaid my credit card by $1,000!!

Happiness...

Warning: Not for the chronically depressed. You might end up smashing your pc to bits. See at your own risk.

Patapon...

This is just how I feel sometimes. Like the 300 fighting the Persians. We're dispensable. And no matter how we look at it, or how good or powerful we are individually, facing an army of 20,000, we are but just ants in the battlefield. Admire those elites, sitting in the Colosseum sipping tea and waiting for us to be back with the results. Think those leeches really have a good life, stealing our work and effort for themselves and blaming their greed on the emperor. Moral of the story, there is no justice in this world. No matter how much a panda thinks about balance and inner peace, justice just does not exist. The bad and evil always win.

Excursion!!

It was a Friday... and I got this call saying that there was a trip coming.. but then it was cancelled... but I decided, oh well, maybe Sarutobi wont be able to go... but what the heck... I am Kazekage, I should bring Kiba down to the Hidden Rain. So Monday came, and I saw Kiba. He told me Hinata and Neji would also be joining in. So, I called forth my 'Sabaku Kyu', and transported them to the Hidden Rain. There, we met Kisame, Itachi, and even Tobi. But after a long fought battle, (till 6pm!!), Akatsuki gave up and we imposed our 'Shukaku no Tate' on them. Once we reached back to the Hidden Leaf, Kakashi and Jiraiya had gone home. Only Sarutobi was left. Sarutobi mentioned that we did a good job, with good credits to Kiba.
All in all it was an ok day. We were tired and Akatsuki was probably pissed. But at least we went to the Hidden Sand and fought good, instead of being trapped in the Hidden Leaf.

War Metal Tyrant...

Latest Tyrant deck... tons of irradiated infantry, one unique tiamat and Freddie as commander. Works quite well with all decks, but stuck at stage 83.

Soulcalibur V!!!

Where Sophitia's kids battle... Patroklos and Pyrrha.

Watching..

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is set in Sungkyunkwan University in the late Joseon era during the reign of King Jeongjo, revolving around the exploits and love stories of four youths. When her younger brother's illness worsens and their family is in danger of being evicted from their house for lack of money, Kim Yoon Hee enters the school under his name, disguised as a boy in her desperation to support him. There, she becomes friends with the intelligent and upright Lee Sun Joon, the playboy Goo Yong Ha and rebellious Moon Jae Shin.

Quite funny... but a bit gayish the show... wahaha

Basketball!!

Had basketball today. And I got an injury! Tripped and fell, couldn't get the balance, and broke my glasses in half. But it felt good though. Been ages since I've gotten a sports injury. Haha I guess I'm the only weird person that is happy to be injured.

Ironically speaking, I was fed up of changing the nose bridge pads of my frameless glasses, and got a new pair, ready for collection tomorrow. If I hadn't made that pair of glasses a few days ago, I'd be stuck with impaired sight for the weekend, or risk having to wear my safety glasses (the one for work) and look like a nerd.

Oh well, life is like that. Bad things happen, but it always doesn't go bad all the way. Somewhere in between, something good always turn's up. It's just how good it actually is, that's all.

Master Shifu went to get a new pair of reading glasses with Po, Stork and Tigress. When they reached the Pearl Temple, they were greeted by the cunning linguist Lord Shen. Beneath his feathers, Lord Shen brought out many pairs of hidden glasses.

Po used his dumpling catching skills to fend off thick groups of Shen's lensing minions. Tigress focused on the frame of things and used her leaping tiger hidden dragon skill to pick out the width of Shen's base.
Just as the fight got heavy, Stork used its baby transporting skills and threw 300 ingots at Lord Shen, who cunningly looked at the wall. Stork threw 350 ingots this time, and Lord Shen started to waiver.

Finally, combining might and wit, Lord Shen finally succumbed to the temptation and accepted 400 ingots.

After a hard fought battle, Master Shifu finally got his reading glasses.

And oh, it was raining, and Mantis was so nice, he brought 4 umbrellas out for everyone.
